Our Story

The Alchemy Experiment is an inclusive arts venue and collective aiming to create a space for art and creativity in Glasgow.

Since opening in October 2020 we have hosted fine art exhibitions ranging from painting, photography, printmaking, film, sculpture and textile works, open calls with entrants from all over the world, workshops, spoken word events, solo and group art shows, evening events supporting local businesses, live music and pop-up shops for local artists and makers to show and sell their pieces.

We are focused on being an inclusive art space, therefore, operate booking on a flexible basis. Artists, after applying or being invited, can choose to forward pay a flat rate as rent, or work on a commission basis in order to ensure the space is accessible to artists of all ages, backgrounds, and financial means.
